Film Review

The first part of the Bloodrayne wasn't really satisfying, but it was at least kinda 'watchable'. JUST FOR ONCE or once in every 10-20 years. I'm not considering myself like a big vampire stuff fan, but I have some favorite movies in this topic (Interview with the vampire, Blade trilogy). This piece is exactly not on my list. I wouldn't recommend it even to my enemies as well. I watched the whole movie and the only good part of it the actress (actually I would use comas so "actress") who is playing the character of the damphire. Nice body, sexy dress, but sorry about that, apparently that's all she can give to art of movie-making. I hope she is working most of the time like model because I'd like to see her name and a photo of her on cover of Playboy magazine! Maybe it's not her fault. I don't want to blame her for the whole movie. The story is absolutely BAD. To tell the truth there is no story. This movie is just a longer explan…

OK I am a huge Bloodrayne fan (of the game that is). I am actually one of those that loved the first movie in the series. At least in the first one they tried to stick with the game by having some of her moves, her outfit, her swords (which are awesome in the game), her attitude, and even added one of the talismans from the game in there. They also stuck with the storyline pretty good, and i have to add the actress looked more like Rayne. She also was a better actress, no academy awards should be given, but much more believable. The second in the series, omg what was that… Billy the Kid a vampire??? Plus an actress change for Rayne, bad move! She is a terrible actress ( the tittle actress is used very loosely), didn't do any of the stunts properly. her outfit was wrong, and her swords were so shiny they looked like they were wrapped in tinfoil, and the way she held them you could tell they didn't weigh what swords should weigh. Now we finally get a number three. Okay it was …

This was obviously film-making under pressure. If I hadn't heard the director mention on the DVD's audio commentary that there was lack of time and money, I'd still have noticed it easily from the quality jumps. At the beginning, you think this is going to be "Schindler's List II" or something like that, slowly enough building up the atmosphere before it's unfortunately too rushed afterwards. There are some brilliant scenes, my favorite is when the doctor says about the vampire: "This creature no longer has any bond to the moral laws of Man" – while he is just cutting him (it?) to pieces alive! That tells you more about what inhuman means than some highly acclaimed movies did: inability to realize how evil it all really is. However, there are some downfalls after that, especially the fight scenes are less spectacular than some in the previous two movies, and Bloodrayne's character isn't developed much, pretty much a ball in a pinb…
